Global Update: Tuesday, September 7, 2010

Last week, we saw the following actions in global markets:

  • Despite being an historically bad month, September started off with a bang as US Markets saw nice gains.
  • The EMEA moved into the top spot this week as the top performing region YTD.
  • Consumer Discretion is the top performing US Sector YTD (+7.9%), while Healthcare dropped to the bottom spot (-6.9%).
  • Large-cap continues to lag, but it did have a nice start to the month last week.
  • Greece had the strongest week of any major market last week, but the country still has a lot of ground to make up.
