US Stocks were up 0.9% last week ahead of the World x US, which barely posted positive returns, up 0.1%. This puts the US up 4.3% for the year, while the World x US is up 2.9%.
- Russia leads the BRICs as 2013 begins, up 5.1%, and it's counterparts aren't doing too bad each up over 2.5% so far this year.
- Romania leads the countries we track in this new year, up almost 15%.
- Energy has jumped from one of the worst performing sectors to leading the pack so far in 2013, up 5.7%, with Healthcare nipping at its heels, up 5.6%.
- Looking at the style boxes, Small Cap Growth is leading, up 5.5% ytd.
