The US once again dominated global markets last week and is now again beating Emerging Markets soundly year-to-date. Furthermore, US stocks are definitely leading the pack for the major asset classes this year.
Other highlights from around the globe include:
- Japan has started to see some momentum that has not been around for years, as it's up 6.8% for the year.
- The BRICs have rebound and are now all in positive territory for the year, but Emerging Markets overall are only up 1% for the year.
- Ghana remains the top country we follow, up over 35% this year, and Africa remains the top region we track, up just over 14% in 2013.
- Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Discretion lead the US stock market. Technology is on the bottom of the 10 different cap-weighted sectors.
